The Department of Strategic Management at the Fox School of
Business at Temple University invites applications for
multiple positions starting in Fall 2009. The positions are
non-tenure track; however, selected individuals will have the
opportunity to compete for future tenure-track appointments.
Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in management or related
discipline. The department is particularly interested in
individuals with demonstrated excellence in teaching strategic
management and international business at the undergraduate and
MBA levels, and in contributing to service initiatives. A
track record of publication in scholarly journals is
desirable. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to
apply. Compensation is competitive, and there will be support
for conferences and other research related expenses.

The Department of Strategic Management currently consists of
13 tenured or tenure track faculty members and 3 lecturers.
They work in the following research areas: strategic
management, international business, and entrepreneurship. The
department houses two major academic institutes: The Institute
of Global Management Studies and the Innovation and
Entrepreneurship Institute.
The Department has a very strong research orientation. In the
past four years members of our department have published or
have forthcoming articles in Academy of Management Review;
Academy of Management Journal; Strategic Management Journal;
Journal of Management; Journal of International Business
Studies; Organization Science; Journal of Business Venturing;
Long Range Planning; Journal of International Management;
among others.
The Department runs an active and highly selective Ph.D.
program. It extensively contributes to the School’s MBA,
Executive MBA, and undergraduate programs.
