Position Vacancies: Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in International Management/International Business <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">University of Melbourne</st1:city>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Australia</st1:country-region></st1:place>
The Department of Management and Marketing at the <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Melbourne</st1:placename> (http://www.managementmarketing.unimelb.edu.au/), <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Australia</st1:place></st1:country-region>, seeks to appoint up to two academics in the area of International Management or International Business at the Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer or Lecturer levels.
Preferred areas of expertise: International Management/Business, preferably, in the area of HQ subsidiary relationships, Cross-cultural management and/or <st1:place w:st="on">Asia</st1:place> in the Global Economy.
Position duties: The appointees will develop, teach and administer undergraduate and graduate subjects related to International Management/Business. Particular responsibilities will include supervision of Honours, Masters and Doctoral students as required, and participation in the administration of the Department. The typical teaching load is 3 courses per year. Courses typically run for 12 weeks and entail 2-3-hours of classes per week. They will also engage in research in their disciplinary area and publish in leading international journals, as well as other scholarly outlets.
Starting date: Position available from either January 2009 or June 2009.
Salary: An attractive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate.
