New position: Media Associate Editor for Human Relations
The role
Human Relations is seeking a part-time Media Associate Editor to join the existing Editorial Team. This is a new role and the post holder will be responsible for presenting the implications of the journal to the press and other media and reinforcing the journal's reputation and standing as a leading forum for debate about issues concerning the social relations of work and organizations.
Human Relations is a leading international multidisciplinary social sciences journal that has been published for over 65 years. We aim for a wide dissemination of ideas across many fields, to connect with people who are not already aware of the journal and secure further coverage in the business press.
The Media Associate Editor will scan issues of the journal to identify papers and special issues that merit publicity, decide the appropriate means of publicity, then produce and disseminate the necessary output. The Media Associate Editor will be responsible for generating and producing an engaging series of vodcasts or podcasts and invigilating comments about published articles on SAGE Journals Online and appropriate social media channels, consulting other members of the Editorial Team and the Managing Editor as appropriate.
The appointment will be for 12 months in the first instance. The role will attract an annual fee and a limited travel budget to aid production of vodcasts.
