If you are teaching International Business/Management courses this fall, you may be interested in participating in the International Business Student Collaboration Project run by a group of scholars from around the world.

The project is a business simulation and is designed to give students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in cross-cultural collaboration. Over a thousand students from sixteen countries participated in the project in 2010-11 school year.

Detailed information about the project can be found at http://www.vtaras.com/International_Cooperation_Project.html

Briefly, we team up students in our IB/IM courses in different countries to jointly complete a term project. Collaborating on-line, students develop a business proposal/plan for an international joint venture.

The project was designed as an experiential learning exercise, but it is also an excellent platform for research on international team dynamics and performance as well as personal, professional and inter-institutional collaboration.

Instructors teaching International Business/Management courses outside the US are especially encouraged to apply.

All supporting materials and on-line tools are provided completely free.

To sign up, questions, comments, suggestions – please email v_taras@uncg.edu.

    Sincerely,
    Vas Taras
