Georgia Tech -- Non-tenure track Position in Strategy & Innovation -- Deadline Nov. 1
The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia welcomes applications for one non-tenure track academic position in Strategy and Innovation. We welcome candidates from academia, business, and/or government sectors. Candidates should have experience in teaching strategy courses and a demonstrated record of teaching excellence in this area. An MS or MBA degree in management, strategy, or related field is required; however, a Ph.D in similar disciplines is preferred. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Professor of the Practice.
Candidates should expect to teach six courses per year in Strategy related subjects such as Business and Corporate Strategy, Strategy Execution, Global Strategy, Principles of Management, or other related subjects that may be needed, at both the undergraduate and MBA levels. Some of these courses involve hands-on/experiential learning in strategy consulting and execution. All teaching assignments will be determined by the area coordinator of Strategy and Innovation. The Strategy and Innovation group has a strong research focus on technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Preference will be given to candidates able to effectively interact with the academic faculty (https://www.scheller.gatech.edu/academics/strategy-and-innovation.html).
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, curriculum development, advising students on both academic and future career development progress; and preparing course materials. Candidates are also expected to engage in service and/or outreach activities for the Department and/or the School as well as in sufficient professional activities to maintain currency with AACSB standards. Candidates may serve as liaisons between industry or government and the Institute in identifying teaching and research or other opportunities that support the public interest and societal needs.
