The Department of Management and Quantitative Methods (MQM) has a tenure-track opening at the rank of Associate/Full Professor in International Business (pending budget approval). The preferred start date is August 16, 2011. Doctorate in International Business or related discipline, teaching experience, and a strong research record of publications in international business are required. Administrative experience in leading or directing programs is preferred. We offer competitive compensation and benefits package.

International Business Program: ISU is the only public university in the state of Illinois that offers a major in IB at the undergraduate level. The IB program is a well-established program and it is affiliated with the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE). The program provides opportunities to study abroad at institutions, such as the University of the West of England (Bristol, England), ESSCA (Angers, France), ESIDEC (Metz, France), ITESM (Quertaro, Mexico), Chuo University (Tokyo, Japan), University of Paderborn (Paderborn, Germany), ESSCA (Budapest, Hungary) and Nebrija University (Madrid, Spain).
Position Description: The candidate will be expected to teach one or more IB courses, engage in quality research and serve as the Director of the International Business Institute (IBI). As the Director of IBI, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating internships, managing summer and semester Study Abroad programs, and developing new initiatives to enhance the reputation of the Institute.
