The SCHOOLS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION at DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY invites applications for a faculty position in Strategic Management beginning Fall, 2007. A Ph.D. in Strategic Management or a closely related area is required for this tenure-track faculty position. The Leadership, Ethics and Global Business Division seeks applicants who have established themselves as productive scholars or have demonstrated the potential to do so in strategic management, and have secondary interest in leadership, organizational behavior and/or international business. The candidates must have demonstrated the potential to coduct scholarly research and teach effectively across multiple disciplines of management. Duties include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic management and one or more related areas including leadership, international business or organizational behavior; conducting quality research; and service on faculty committees. The normal teaching load is three courses per semester.
The division and the business school provide collegial and financial support for high-quality research and teaching. The school subscribes to several research databases, and offers generous support for research activity that includes competitive summer grants, graduate assistants, and a reduced teaching load. Salary range is competitive. The Division offers B.S. and MBA programs of study and maintains strong ties with the business community. The Beard Center for Leadership and Ethics is directed by our division colleague, and offers additional opportunities to pursue research in the intersection of strategy and ethics. Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh are located just a few minutes from Duquesne campus. In addition, Pittsburgh provides numerous cultural and recreational amenities that enhance the quality of life for area residents.

Established in 1878, Duquesne </st1:placename>is a comprehensive university with about 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The School of Business has approximately 1200 undergraduate and 400 graduate students. All programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. The collegial and ecumenical environment at the University encourages the diverse group of faculty to pursue research and teaching across disciplines.
