ILT and ELT models of leadership propose levels of analysis that include the influence of national/societal culture on the leader. If we review the history of Turkey, and perhaps the USSR and the People's Republic of China, we see individual leaders such as Atatürk, Stalin, and Mao having a significant influence on their national cultures. In the USA perhaps Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. In addition to these individuals, can you suggest a short list of your choices of a leader significantly influencing the national culture?
