    CALL FOR TOPICS and SYMPOSIA

    EURAM 2017 Conference

    Deadline 28 June 2016

    Dear sig-gender-race-diversity-in-organisations
    Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming deadline for the submission of topics and symposia. The deadline for submission is 28 June 2016. The EURAM 2017 Conference will be held in Glasgow on 21, 22, 23 and 24 June. Hopefully we will meet many of you this June in Paris during the EURAM 2016 Conference.

Our conference theme "Making Knowledge Work" is significant in a number of ways. It not only refers to the knowledge about management and organisation that we generate. "Making Knowledge Work" is also about making this knowledge useful for management practice. The conference theme resonates well with the University of Strathclyde's mission. It dates back to our founder Professor John Anderson who describes our university as "the place of useful learning". We want to conduct the EURAM conference in this spirit and aim to host contributions that demonstrate useful management scholarship that is relevant across a variety of contexts.

We are pleased to invite you to collaborate in the programme building by proposing topics for discussion and symposia for the 17th EURAM Annual Conference. Do not hesitate to contact the relevant Special Interest Groups (SIGs) chairs by email or discuss it in person in Paris. Information about the SIGs can be found here.

    Call for Topics

Topics are considered relevant research questions, themes, issues, problems or aspects to be included in the general programme of the conference (i.e. configuring the parallel sessions of the different Strategic Interest Groups [SIGs] of EURAM).

Click here for more information on how to submit a topic proposal. Proposals are to be submitted to euram2017-conf@strath.ac.uk.

Please use the topic proposal template to submit your proposal.

    Call for Symposia

Symposia are discrete sessions around a specific topic or problem that:

    a) Engage a group of panellists in a formal interactive discussion,
    b) Encourage lively discussion and presentation of alternative views,
    c) Attract the interest of a sufficient number of scholars,
    d) Engage with issues that cut across existing SIGs, and
    e) Can be accomplished in a 90min window.

Click here for more information on how to submit a symposium proposal. Proposals are to be submitted to euram2017-conf@strath.ac.uk.

Please use the symposium proposal template to submit your proposal.

We very much look forward to welcoming you in Glasgow!

    Best wishes,

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee
