    IM division colleagues,

I would appreciate you kind sharing of insights regarding your experience with the effectiveness of some role-playing game with a Cross-Cultural Management focus.

What game would you recommend? Shortcomings?  Number of players it is designed for? Duration? Was it worth your and your students' time?

    Many thanks,

Cultures crossing simulations are well done - you must allow sufficient time for the various roles to do sufficient research before the simulation if you are to be successful.

    Alfredo,

I have found the international negotiation simulation that involves an eastern and western culture trying to come up with a negotiation contract for a shipment of sports shoes (source: Cullen & Parboteeah: Multinational Management, 2nd edition) to be really engaging and interactive. You can run it over two typical (80 min) class periods or one longer class period (2 hours 50 minutes). There is minimal prep time, and can be used for any number of class students - my experience has been for a class of about 40 students.
