    The Villanova School of Business at Villanova University invites nominations and applications for appointment to the Carmen and Sharon Danella Endowed Chair in Business Innovation. The position has a starting date of August 2018.

    The successful candidate will have an established record as a prominent scholar or is on pace to achieve that level in entrepreneurship, strategy, and innovation. Working within the Department of Management and Operations, the Danella Chair is expected to raise the visibility of the Villanova School of Business in the area of entrepreneurship, provide pedagogical leadership at all levels, and maintain an active leadership presence within Villanova University and the broader scholarly community. The Chair offers a commensurate and competitive salary and benefits package.

    Applicants must be at or above the Associate Professor level and possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Management Science, or field related to Innovation Processes.     ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Management and Operations is an intellectually curious and collegial group that currently includes 18 tenured or tenure-track faculty members and 10 visiting and non-tenure track faculty members. The Department publishes in top management, strategy, and entrepreneurship journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, as well as top-tier journals in operations, organizational behavior, and human resources management. Department members are active in leadership roles within journals and within the Academy of Management. The Department is collegial and works as a team to further individual research interests and teaching objectives.
