The Divisions and Research committees aim to bring together people that share the same research interests and concerns and provide a strong network base to enable them:
- Conduct international and cross-cultural studies, joint research, consulting, and fundraising
- Encourage interaction between the business community and the academia and assisting academics and practitioners to keep-up-to-date with business developments in the region
- Aid towards the economic development of the region
- Disseminate research findings, new research areas, techniques and conceptual developments
- Contribute to peace in the region by developing cooperation between countries and people
- Organize mini conferences/symposia/workshops/seminars
- Support young researchers in the field
- Other, based on the needs and interests of each RIC
You may nominate yourself for being a committee member. You may also suggest for a new Interest Group if your research interest is not included in the above list.
The deadline for nominations is December the 20th 2008.
Having said this, we would also like to inform you that the 1st EuroMed Academy of Business Annual Conference and PhD Seminar that took place in Marseilles, France was a great success with 104 registered participants from about 25 different countries. In addition to the conference presentations, the conference also included various other important sessions including a How to Publish Session, a Meet the Editors Session and a Video Conference on World Financial Crisis.
The Conference was addressed on behalf of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy by Madame Michele Gendreau Massaloux (Responsable de la Mission Union pour la Méditerranée auprès de la Présidence de la République française). Our keynote speakers were from Harvard University and INSEAD.
