<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">UNIVERSITY</st1:placetype> OF <st1:placename w:st="on">VICTORIA</st1:placename></st1:place> – The Faculty of Business invites applications for four full-time tenure track positions in Entrepreneurship (2), Sustainability/Business & Society, and Service Operations Management (1).
The Faculty of Business is seeking to fill an endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship with a Full Professor or senior Associate Professor who has a strong research and teaching record, and who can work in a team environment to further develop our entrepreneurship research and teaching programs. For this position we are seeking someone who can either complement the research interests of current faculty, which include entrepreneurial cognition, innovation, community entrepreneurship, sustainable entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship, and issues at the marketing-entrepreneurship interface, and/or extend our teaching competencies beyond entrepreneurial strategy, entrepreneurship theory, new venture marketing, and human relations.
We are also seeking to fill one position at the Assistant or Associate level in Entrepreneurship. Applicants for this position should have a demonstrated interest in Entrepreneurship research and teaching.
We are also seeking to fill one position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in Sustainability/Business & Society. The ability to teach Strategy and an interest in one of our areas of specialization – International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Service Management – will be considered assets.
We are also seeking to fill one position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in Service Operations Management. Applicants for this position should have a demonstrated interest in service operations management research and teaching.
Applicants for these positions should have earned a PhD (or be ABD) and have a record of teaching and research that is commensurate with their experience. Our interest is in attracting highly motivated researchers, capable of publishing in top research journals, to add to the already vibrant research community at the Faculty of Business. While we are open to all types of research, our desire is to reinforce our three areas of specialization: international business, entrepreneurship, and service management.
Our approach to teaching is international, integrative, innovative, and experiential. The experiential dimension includes a mandatory co-op program for all students, international exchanges, and overseas co-op work opportunities. In line with this approach, a candidate's business experience would be highly valued.
Aside from the research and teaching community, <st1:state w:st="on">Victoria</st1:state> is located in one of the most beautiful parts of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Canada</st1:country-region></st1:place>. We enjoy a very moderate west coast climate with an active cultural scene as well as easy access to all types of outdoor activities.
