Management/International Management/Business Policy
Position: A tenure-track position as Assistant/Associate Professor of
Management is available for August 2007.
Primary teaching responsibility: Principles of Management. Additional
teaching possibilities: International Management, Business Policy,
Quality and Process Improvement, and/or other appropriate Management
electives. We particularly solicit applicants who seek a balance of
teaching/research responsibilities. The Department encourages
applications from minority persons, women, persons with disabilities,
and Vietnam-era veterans.
Minimum Required Qualifications
·Ph.D./D.B.A. in Business Management, International Management or
Business Policy from a nationally recognized university, or an
equivalent combination of a doctoral degree in an appropriate related
field from a nationally-recognized university and Business Management
training, teaching, or experience. ABDs will be considered with
evidence of completion by August 1, 2007.
·Record of excellence in teaching
·Demonstrated ability to produce publishable research in business
·Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
·Significant business experience preferred

General
The University of Northern Iowa (UNI), with 12,500 students and 650
full-time faculty members, is one of three state-supported universities
in Iowa. The University enjoys a national reputation for commitment to
teaching excellence and is highly ranked in various surveys of
comparable institutions.
Located in northeast Iowa, the metropolitan community of Cedar
Falls/Waterloo, with a combined population of 110,000, offers a pleasant
residential setting, with a growing industrial, cultural, and
recreational base, within 225-300 miles of Minneapolis, St. Louis,
Kansas City, and Chicago.
The College of Business Administration (CBA) is AACSB-accredited and
offers an MBA and Bachelor of Arts degrees in five departments. The CBA
has 60 full-time faculty members and enrolls 2,700 undergraduate majors
and 100 graduate students. The College occupies a contemporary office
building housing an Information Systems Research Lab and three computer
classrooms/labs. All classrooms are equipped with multi-media
technology. The College offers an array of economic development,
entrepreneurial and managerial/executive education programs through its
division of Business and Community Services.
