Rutgers Business School, Job Postings for the Department of Management and Global Business

The Department of Management and Global Business at Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick invites applications for three positions: two positions of Assistant Professor of Professional Practice; and one position of Lecturer at the rank of Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, to teach courses in Management, Business Strategy, Organizational Behavior, and/or International Business at the undergraduate and/or MBA level on both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses.

The two positions of Assistant Professor of Professional Practice are renewable three-year appointments. At the expiration of the appointments, the individuals hired for these positions may apply for renewal of their appointment for a subsequent term.

The position of Lecturer at the rank of Assistant Professor of Professional Practice is a non-renewable 12-month appointment. Upon expiration of the appointment, the individual hired for this position may apply for other open positions within the Department of Management and Global Business should such open positions exist.

Responsibilities:

Individuals hired for these positions will be responsible primarily for teaching undergraduate and MBA-level courses offered by the Management and Global Business Department at the New Brunswick or Newark campuses (or both) as determined by the Department Chair.

Candidates are also expected to engage in service and/or outreach activities for the Department and/or the School as well as in sufficient professional and/or research activities to maintain currency with AACSB standards for faculty currency for September 1, 2018.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. degree is desirable, ABD (all-but-dissertation) is acceptable, with the minimum qualification a Master's degree in the area of teaching responsibility or Master's degree combined with significant managerial experience. Chancellor's Position #'s (17-25, 17-26 and 17-27).

A Master's degree in the area of teaching responsibility or Master's degree combined with significant managerial experience.

Applicants for these positions must have demonstrated excellence in teaching in one or more of the following areas or related areas: Management, Business Strategy, Organizational Behavior, and/or International Business. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching large section courses (up to 200 students) and will have experience with hybrid course structures. 
Successful applicants must have qualifications to meet and maintain AACSB standards for faculty currency.
