    Dear IMD Members,

     

    The Practice Theme Committee (PTC) of the Academy of Management proudly announces the winners of the two 2017 AOM PTC Awards for impact which will be given at this year's Annual Academy of Management Meetings in Atlanta. Congratulations to the winners, and also to all nominees!

     

    ·        The AOM PTC Practice Impact Award goes to Sean T. Hannah, Professor of Management & Tylee Wilson Chair of Business Ethics at Wake Forest University School of Business, for the impact his research on leadership and ethical decisions is having on organizations.

     

    ·        The AOM PTC Chris Argyris Lifetime Achievement Award goes to William D. Guth, Professor Emeritus of Management and Strategy at Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, for his significant and lasting achievements and effects on strategic management which span the birth, growth and maturity of the field in its various dimensions and avatars including business policy, strategic management and corporate entrepreneurship.

     

    Please join us in congratulating the winners at the PTC Celebration and Awards Event on Saturday, Aug 5th 2017, 6:30-8:30pm, at Hilton Atlanta in Room 222. The session also includes an interactive symposium on "Framing debates in the age of Trump and Brexit: Metaphors for international leadership, globalization and education".
