DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT & QUANTITATIVE METHODS
COLLEGE OF BUSINESS, ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY
The Department of Management and Quantitative Methods has two openings for
tenure-track faculty members at the Assistant/Associate Professor level,
preferably to begin August 16, 2007. Doctorate in an appropriate field
and prior university teaching experience required for consideration at the
Associate Professor level. Candidates must be able to demonstrate
potential and commitment to do both quality teaching and research. Senior
ABDs may be considered if in late stages of the program (note:
dissertation proposal defense must occur prior to campus visit).
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS: Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate
courses including some combination of Introduction to International
Business, International Management, or Business in a Multi-cultural
Environment. Candidates must have a secondary area reflecting one of the
disciplines housed in the department (for example, HRM, OB, Strategy,
etc.). Preference will be given to candidates with experience to warrant
appointment at the advanced Assistant or Associate level.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP/SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT: Teach a variety of
undergraduate and graduate courses including some combination of
Introduction to Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship I and II,
Franchising, New Venture Creation, Entrepreneurship in the Arts, or other
ESBM related seminars. Candidates able to teach Organizational Behavior
or Strategy as a secondary area are preferred.
