THE PRACTICE THEME COMMITTEE OF
THE
ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT
Proudly announces the 2014
PTC RESEARCH CENTER IMPACT AWARD
Dear current and former friends and participants of the PTC,
This year the Practice Theme Committee (PTC) of the Academy of Management is calling for nominations for the PTC Research Center Impact Award. We are seeking nominations from those who have been active with the PTC, as well as associates and current and former PTC members, PDW organizers, and all members of the AOM who are involved in practice-oriented research.
The award aims to recognize the contribution that research centers make to the practice of management in the public, private, and/or third sectors. Research Centers must specifically demonstrate how knowledge gained through the research and programs conducted by the centers have made an impact to management practice. The PTC Research Centre Impact Award is designed to promote the AOM's strategic intent of professional impact. The awards seeks to recognize and celebrate an outstanding research project or group of projects conducted either independently or in collaboration with industry that has had a major impact on management practice (be it in private, government, non-government sectors). The previous recipient of the PTC Research Center Impact Award is The Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship at The University of Michigan.
The award includes a PTC Award Plaque and will be presented during the PTC Welcome and Awards Ceremony at the AOM Annual Meeting in Philadelphia in August 2014. If you wish to nominate a research center, please forward this email on to the director of the research center (or equivalent) that you wish to nominate, and cc the Chair of the Awards Committee of the Practice Theme Committee, Jochen Schweitzer, at jochen.schweitzer@uts.edu.au, who will provide a nomination form template and further details.
