Apologies for cross-posting-
You are cordially invited to attend a caucus on Working Internationally: The Life of the Ethnic Minority Expatriate. This session will take place on Tuesday, August 15th from 4:10 PM - 5:20 PM Hyatt Regency in the Brussels Room.
Despite the wealth of expatriate literature and increase in workforce diversity, little research examines the experiences of ethnic minority faculty who have or are currently working internationally.
During this caucus we will provide:
*an opportunity to extend the discussion regarding the relationship between international assignments and expatriates regarding; cultural fit, careers, repatriation, work environment, family and social issues.
*a forum to explore new theoretical approaches that explain the challenges and opportunities experienced by ethnic minority expatriates from a broad array of frameworks.
*a setting to share the range of research caucus attendees are conducting on expatriates
*a venue to explore and talk about collaborative research efforts and/or journals where there may be interest in special issues on this topic.
Join us for this lively discussion of ideas and experiences!
