When a firm's activity crosses borders, it is inherently dealing with different institutional contexts. The institutional framework refers to a myriad of factors, including laws, rules, norms, social structures, cognitive schemes, cultural aspects, and economic development. This PDW will bring together a diverse array of scholars to explore the influence and interaction of the various dimensions of the institutional environment. The goal is to further scholarship on institutional aspects and build a community of scholars interested in the topic. The session consists of an overview by senior scholars followed by interaction and networking among participants.
