Position Summary
The Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University, is seeking candidates to fill a tenure-track position in Strategy and Organization at the rank of Assistant Professor. Expected start date will be July 2007.
McGill is a leading research-intensive university located in the heart of Montreal. The Desautels Faculty of Management has over 70 full-time professors, and over 3000 students, including MBAs, PhDs, Undergraduates, and Executive Programs. Faculty in the Strategy and Organization Area, which includes notable researchers such as Henry Mintzberg, have interests which span from mainstream strategy to international business and non-profit management. Professors in the Area also come from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds including Sociology, Economics, History, Development Studies, and Organizational Theory. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: (1) a Ph.D. degree (completed or expected to be completed by Fall 2007) in Management, Strategy, International Business, Organizational Theory, or a related field, (2) demonstrated potential to conduct and publish high quality research, and (3) evidence of effective teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a demonstrated ability to teach international business/strategy are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will show promise of high quality and insightful research and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
