    The IM Division Outreach Committee is pleased to announce the following exciting opportunity during the 2013 AOM Annual Meeting: 

     

    On behalf of the IM Division of the AOM invite you to an exciting opportunity during the AOM Lake Buena Vista, FL, conference to meet a CSCO of the world's largest full service restaurant chain company. The group should assemble by 9am at the Porte Cochére carport at the Disney Yacht and Beach Resort. The event is free except for a $30 bus fee for transportation payable in cash at boarding time.  Seats are limited, so if you wish to join us, you should promptly send your firm confirmation to Cordula Barzantny c.barzantny@tbs-education.fr .     Meet Jim Lawrence, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Darden Restaurants HQ

     Darden is the world's largest full-service restaurant company (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Seasons 52, LongHorn Steakhouse, etc.). Since opening of the first Red Lobster restaurant in Lakeland, Fla., in 1968, Darden has grown to today, more than 200,000 people employed, working together to make Darden a global leader in hospitality. Through subsidiaries Darden owns and operates over 2,100 restaurants and serves more than 425 million meals a. (http://www.darden.com)

     

    Jim Lawrence is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at Rollins College and he has agreed to host a group of AOM participants on Monday morning, August 12. He will discuss the company's global supply chain, with an emphasis on the quality and safety of foodHe can also talk about the company's commitment to sustainability, both in the supply chain and in its buildings. The headquarters building in Orlando is LEED certified, and by the end of FY2012, 13 newly-built Olive Garden, Red Lobster and LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants had either received or were in pursuit of LEED certification.

     

    For covering the cost of the bus transfer, we request a financial contribution of 30 USD per participant, following the official confirmation of your participation, to be paid in cash before departure, please.
