    ASSISTANT PROFESSOR FACULTY POSITION IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    The School of Human Resources & Labor Relations in the College of Social Science at Michigan State University seeks applicants for a tenure system position at the Assistant Professor level in Human Resource Management. We are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching interests in any of the following areas: HRM, organizational behavior, organizational development and change management, business and HR strategy, and HR metrics.   We seek applicants with demonstrated records of research and scholarship excellence and demonstrated records (or strong potential for success) in obtaining external funding to support one's research agenda.

    Instructional responsibilities include primarily teaching in our signature Master of Human Resources & Labor Relations program, as well as teaching in our doctoral program and at the undergraduate level. This position is an academic-year (nine-month) appointment with a beginning date of August 16, 2015.

    Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as human resource management, employment and labor relations, or other related fields and disciplines prior to the beginning date.

    The review of applications will begin January 20th, 2015 but applications will continue to be considered until this position is filled.   We will begin initial interviewing of selected applicants via Skype on, or shortly after, February 13th.  Finalists will be invited to interview on campus. It is expected that campus visits will take place in late February and early March.  While we will continue accepting applications until the position is filled, to ensure full consideration applications should be submitted by February, 13th, 2015.
