    Dear Colleagues:
You may also find it useful to read/use an invited article of mine that's forthcoming in the WSJ this Saturday, 4/28. I enclose a draft version. The final version differs in only minor ways from this version. WSJ will also provide links to video and audio interviews with Senior Editor Carol Hymowitz.

Re: Multimedia resources on India - Three Good Sources

    Charles,

I would show the first twenty minutes or so of the
video - Emerging Powers: India, from the Wall Street
Journal. It shows how (from 1947 to 1991)India was
headed toward serious economic problems and
    liberalization was the only option.

I would then follow it up with clips from Tom
Friedman's interview on Charlie Rose (available from
Amazon)which talks about India as of 2005. You might
be able to stream the video directly to your classroom
pc though the net connections may act up.

You should also consult the multimedia resources of
McKinsey Quarterly as they do have many interesting
flash files that can be shared with an executive
class. Some of the content is classified premium and
needs a subscription but you can mine the regular
content and still come away with lots of good stuff!
