    There was a recent recent exchange in JIBS between Hofstede and the
    Globe researcher concerning the relative merits of their respective
    scales (Issue 6, vol 37, November 2006). The discussion was quite open
    and detailed.

    I don't know of comparisons, but we published the following on Hofstede's
    VSM94. We find that it has poor reliability at both level 1 (individual
    employee level) and level 2 (country level), and that we could not confirm
    the factor structure at level 2.
