    Dear all,

We are searching for two different sources of data for Brazil for the timeframe of 2001-2004. First, does anyone know of a Compustat-equivalent source of data that includes sales, profits, and employment for Brazilian firms by industry? Second, is anyone aware of data for industry institutions for Brazil (specifically, for example, level of funding to regulatory agencies, number of monitoring/enforcement agents employed by a regulatory agency, and the costs of certifications/licenses to operate within a particular industry)? We're under the presumption that there is no single data source for these industry institution variables, but any information on bits and pieces would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

Here are some general sites that might have some relevant information about Brasil (though no guarantees). Thanks to Nel Dutt at Duke for surfacing these.
