    Objectives:

    The proposed symposium has two main objectives.  The first is to promote the study of pressing global management issues that have both scholarly and practical significance, particularly those that have important public policy implications.  The topic of national health care and its impact on the international competitiveness of firms and nations certainly falls into this category of research issues.  The second objective is to provide a forum for thought leaders from academia, industry, and government to discuss such research issues and interact with members of the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Management</st1:placename></st1:place>.  

     

    Publication:

    Proceedings of this forum will be published in a special issue of EJIM scheduled for December 2011.
