    The 2nd Annual Saint Leo University international Business Conference is pleased to announce two additional speakers for the conference on February 16-19, 2011 - Jose Valiente, Principal in the accounting, consulting, and financial advising firm of Larson Allen LLP; and Larry Cobb, Director of the non-profit corporation EthicWorks – which specializes in professional ethics and leadership training.
     
    Jose Valiente was born in Cuba but currently resides in Tampa, FL. He has served as President for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a founding member of the Board of Directors for both the North Bank of Tampa and the Century Bank of Florida. With over thirty years of experience with public accounting and consulting as well as his roots in Cuba , Valiente will be presenting on "The Future of Change with Cuba", with a specific of focus on how the future of trade with Cuba will help rebuild that country, and will be a financial windfall for the United States.
     
    Larry Cobb, in addition to the Director of the non-profit corporation EthicWorks, has been involved with the NAHRO (National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Office) on several levels for more than two decades.  Cobb has served as a plenary speaker at international conferences on housing, community development and professional ethics. With an eye toward the future, he is active in the American Society for Public Administration Ethics Section as well as the re-accreditation of Masters of Public Administration programs at universities on the national level. Cobb will be presenting the topic of "International Business Ethics", which will focus on a variety of issues including the growing need for sound reasoning to resolve international ethical dilemmas, managing risk without gaming the system, and finding the courage and voice to rework international business ethics from the foundations up.
