    Greetings!

    This is to inform you about India China America (ICA) Institute's (Founded by Prof. Jagdish Sheth) 2010-2011 global webinar series titled "Competing with Emerging Multinationals from Emerging Markets". The series architect is Prof. Ravi Ramamurti of Northeastern University. On Thursday, January 13th, from 11:45am - 12:45pm EST we are excited to feature Professor Emeritus Yair Aharoni of Tel Aviv U. to cover "The Case of Israel".

    The webinar is free but registration is required. To date, the series has been highly informative and insightful and we think it will also be of great interest to your membership. I would greatly appreciate if you could kindly forward the appended webinar announcement to AIB listserve,

    Northeastern U.'s Center for Emerging Markets and ICA Institute present a WEBINAR with Prof. Yair Aharoni of Tel Aviv U. on "Competing with Emerging-market Multinationals: The Case of Israel" on Thursday, January 13th, 2011 at 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM EST. He will explore the competitive advantages of Israeli firms, the strategies they use to "go global", and how their rise is affecting the strategy and performance of Western firms.

    Featured Speaker: Yair Aharoni, Professor Emeritus, Tel Aviv University
    Yair Aharoni was the first Dean of the faculty of management at Tel Aviv University, He initiated the Israel Institute of Business Research and the faculty's Top Executive Program - of which he was the first director. He was also Chief Executive Officer of the Jerusalem Institute of Management (1981-7) and  Rector of the College of Management, Rishon LeZion, Israel.(1996-2001). His Chaired professorships include the Daniel and Grace Ross professor of International Business and later the Issachar Haimovic Professor of Business Policy - both at Tel Aviv University. Thomas Henry Caroll Ford Foundation Visiting Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. (1978-79). J.Paul Stitch Visiting Professor of International Business at Duke University (1987-95)  He served as director of several firms and as a frequent lecturer in executive development seminars in Israel, Europe, Latin America and the United States. His voluntary public services include membership of many public committees among them the one drafting the Law of State Owned Enterprises. He is a fellow of the Academyof International Businessand of the International Academy of Management. His publications include several dozens books and monographs more than 100 papers and chapters in books and more than 150 cases.
