    Dear Colleagues,

    Hope the semester has been going well with you all. I'm going to teach a "cross-cultural leadership" course for master-level student majoring in organizational leadership. Now I am working on deciding the text and readings, as well as cases and exercises. All of the students in the program are American so there is not much cultural diversity in the class. But I plan to have them work as a team on a project to tackle cross-cultural issue(s) from a regional perspective (e.g., Latin America, Southeast Asia, etc.). In particular, I will appreciate if you can share with me on:

    1) The texts and readings you recommend;
    2) The cases and exercises for in-class assignments and projects;
    3) The video clips that work well;
    4) Finally, your syllabus if you have taught similar courses before.

    I will compile a list for those who are interested in a couple of weeks so feel free to contact me then. And I apologize in advance for any cross postings.

    Best wishes,
    Yuan

    I found the following three books very vital and informative in terms of research methods, data collections, and insights, you may consider to include them in the reading list:

    Global Literacies by Robert Rosen
    Riding the Waves of Culture, 2nd edition, by Fons Trompenaars & Charles Hampden-Turner
    The Geography of Thought by Richard E. Nisbett

    Yuan,

    Try this resource - http://www.vtaras.com/teaching_tools.html

    Lots of short video, cartoons and activities you could use in your cross-cultural management/leadership course.
