    Colleagues,

    In case you have some students interested in following a career in academia, the following call for paper might be an opportunity to showcase their work as well as build their resume!

    Any IB related paper written during 2010 calendar year are acceptable, and all accepted papers/abstracts will be published in the proceedings of the symposium.

     

     

    10th Annual Dalhousie University Student Research Symposium

     

    We're looking for 20 exceptional papers & 30 outstanding posters

    This is an opportunity for students to apply their academic training in a real-world environment. It is also a chance to meet and exchange ideas with other students from around the region/world in a fun and collegial atmosphere.

    The Student Research Symposium is open to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Applicants must submit a course paper and/or poster proposal with an international focus.

    Papers may be in the form of a research paper, case study or traditional essay. Culture studies or country profiles are ideal for poster submissions. Student papers will be published on a CD Proceedings of the Symposium.

    Participating professors may choose papers and/or posters from any class to be submitted no later than January 7, 2011. From these entries, 20 papers and 30 posters will be selected for presentation during the Symposium at Dalhousie University,
    Friday, February 4, 2011. 

     

    How to Enter

    Students do not have to write a new paper for the Symposium. Papers written for any course during the calendar year 2010 are acceptable. 

    Papers must be in the form of a research paper, case study with analysis, or traditional essay. Submissions must adhere to the same quality and standards required by professors for course papers.

    The authors of the top 20 papers and 30 posters and their professors will be invited to attend the conference in Halifax.

     

    Some travel assistance will be provided for out of town participants on a need basis.
