    Dear IM Division Member.  As the 2008 Annual Conference is nearing, it is time to preplan and give you some information about what is coming.  

    First, the first half newsletter of the division is now available online at the IMD Website (http://division.aomonline.org/im/).  Just click on the appropriate link in the update section for the pdf version.  The newsletter has details about the division, information about the 2008 program and news about members.

    Second, as part of the pre-PDW events we have an exciting Disney Company visit on Friday 8 August.  This visit has been arranged by Mary Yoko Brannen, your new EC member.  Information about the visit is available both in the newsletter and on the website (please register with Eleanor Westney if you are interested).

    Third, we have the usual exciting PDW Progam (organized by Sam Park) and Conference Program (organized by Anil Gupta).  So please peruse the newsletter for the details of all the exciting events and activities.  As always we have:

    1.  The PDW welcome and welcome to new members followed by dinner on the town with the EC.

    2. The IMD sponsored IM Division PDW Reception on Sunday.

    3. The IM Executive Panel and The Booz Allen Hamilton/strategy+business Award presentation on Monday.

    4.  The Richman Dissertation Award presentations on Tuesday, followed by the Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony and the infamous IM Division Social.  We have many new awards this year, including the Samsung Best Paper Award.
