The Farmer School of Business at Miami University invites applications and nominations for the John T. Petters Professor of Business Leadership. We are attempting to get notification of this new position widely distributed.
The principal responsibilities of the Petters Professor in Business Leadership will be 1) maintaining and promoting an active program of scholarship, including faculty and student mentoring, in the area of business leadership; 2) supporting student academic excellence through teaching and service contributions related to leadership. The Petters Professor of Business leadership will also, in conjunction with the Petters Professor of Business Ethics, define and develop the role of the John T. Petters Center for Ethics, Leadership, and Professional Skills Development in the overall education of the students in the Farmer School of Business; promote Miami's leadership programs throughout the community and the university.
The successful candidate will have a terminal degree and a distinguished and ongoing record of both research and teaching in an area of business leadership that would merit appointment as a tenured full professor; demonstrated effectiveness in program development and the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents including faculty, students, administration, alumni, and the business community.
