    Reykjavik University is seeking a new dean for the School of Business.

     

    The School of Business at RU is one of the largest academic institutions in Iceland, with approximately 1000 students in various lines of study at the undergraduate and master´s levels.  Four research centers operate within the School of Business and preparations for offering a PhD program are under way. The school is also aiming for international accreditation (AMBA and EPAS).

     

    The objective of the School of Business is to provide students with a challenging education in an ambitious and creative environment. Our emphasis is on excellence and innovation in teaching, internationally acknowledged research and strong ties with business and industry. International relations are an important aspect of the schools' environment, with about 25 visiting professors and exchange contracts with 130 universities in 22 countries.

     

    We are looking for a dean with demonstrated leadership qualities, committed to advancing the school with ambition and strength. The dean has direct responsibility for academic, administrative and fiscal operations of the School of Business. The dean is part of the executive team at RU and reports to the president of the university.

     

    Requirements:

    PhD degree in business, economics, management or related fields.

    Extensive experience in teaching and research.

    Strong leadership and managerial skills.

    International experience.
