    Dear colleagues,

We would like to cordially invite you to attend the following Professional Development Workshop at the upcoming Academy of Management meeting in Chicago:

The Effect of Financial Crisis on the Sustainability

    Initiatives of Latin American Companies

    (Session #12921)

It will take place on Friday, August 7 at 9:00 a.m.in the Ontario room of the Sheraton Chicago.  Although we realize that this particular time on this particular day is not the most convenient, we believe the discussion we will generate from our presentation will be well worth your effort to attend.

The first part of this workshop will give a general overview of the economic challenges facing Latin American companies.  This will be followed by a description of two cases: Natura, a Brazilian cosmetics company and Colomé, a producer of organic wines in Argentina.  Then it will move on to a general discussion about the appropriate theories for studying this to guide research on this topic.  I have attached a copy of our PDW proposal for your convenience.
