What is a Carrotmob?
Carrotmob is an event designed to reward businesses that choose to make
improvements that benefit the environment. Carrotmobs have occurred
throughout the country in cities like San Francisco, New York, Kansas City
and Eugene, Oregon. The businesses that host the events promise to
allocate a percentage of the funds they raise to energy efficiency
improvements at their business locations. Some businesses have raised
thousands of dollars for energy improvements. Before or after the event,
the business works with an energy auditor who helps the business identify
improvements it can make.
How much of the money Fox & Obel raises on the day of the event will go
toward energy improvements at the store?
Fox & Obel, a specialty café and food store, has generously volunteered to
donate 50% of the revenue it raises above its average Sunday daily
revenue.
