    Dear colleagues:

     

    I am delighted to let you know that the Australia and New Zealand Chapter of the AIB will be having a one-day symposium in Melbourne, Australia, on 9th November 2009! The symposium title is 'The Global Financial Crisis and its Impact on Firms in the Asia-Pacific Region' - we are looking forward to a broad discussion that addresses the wide-ranging aspects of this timely issue... from macro policy issues to the most micro considerations regarding how people in organisations are affected.

     

    Submissions will be in the form of short papers (up to six pages of text), due on 28th September 2009 and sent electronically to libby.hart@buseco.monash.edu.au. Please see the attached call for details.

     

    The symposium is being hosted by the Department of Management at Monash University. Sharif As-Saber and Kate Hutchings are the co-conveners.

     

    Two best paper presentations at the symposium will be awarded some support for attending the 2010 AIB conference in Brazil (courtesy of ANZIBA – the Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy).
