    Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Eastern Academy of Management, it is my privilege to invite
submissions for our 47th Annual Conference, May 12-15, 2010, in Portland,
ME. The conference theme of Global Mindsets for Global Organizations:
Strategies, Models and Tools acknowledges the shifting global landscape our
organizations face. It challenges us to think in new ways, to lead and
manage with new mindsets and alter our definitions of individual performance
and organizational effectiveness – how will we face this new “earthrising”?
Come join us in Portland, ME and share your models, mindsets, strategies and
    tools for the new landscape.

The deadline for submission of manuscripts is December 7th, 2009, so mark
your calendars and send us your best work so that together we can create
    another outstanding conference.

This 47th annual meeting of the Eastern Academy of Management will feature a
variety of sessions including: papers, symposia, panels, cases, experiential
exercises, professional development workshops, and distinguished speakers.
Papers are double-blind reviewed, and accepted papers are published in a
CD-ROM of proceedings. Awards are given for outstanding papers, and
outstanding reviewers are acknowledged in the program.

The Eastland Park Hotel is surrounded by quaint galleries, outstanding
restaurants, upscale shops, and museums, including the Portland Museum of
Art. The hotel, is adjacent to Congress Square, an outdoor city-center
plaza reminiscent of its European predecessors, and is only moments away
from Portland's famed Old Port waterfront, and the downtown financial
district. Visit the Top of the East, Portland's only rooftop lounge, at the
Eastland Park Hotel, for a breathtaking panoramic view of all that Portland
and Maine have to offer. Local Arrangements VP John Voyer and his team are
hard at work to create an enjoyable conference experience for all of us.

Please submit your complete papers by December 7th and join our learning
community in May. Use your Global Mindset to make the 2010 Eastern Academy
of Management Conference a stimulating, creative, and influential event!
See you in Portland next May.

    Best Regards,

    Liz Davis
