2nd International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility

Organized and hosted by the Institute of Management and the Forum of
Business & Society at the School of Business and Economics at
Humboldt-University Berlin.
Program Partners: ESMT (Berlin), IMD - Forum for Corporate Sustainability
Management (Lausanne), Nijmegen School of Management, and The Reputation
Institute (New York).
The Humboldt-University Berlin with its program partners invites
submissions to the 2nd International Conference on Corporate
Responsibility. Topics to be discussed will range widely within the general
theme about ‘Globalization and Corporate Responsibility’ and includes the
following topics:
▪ Globalization, poverty, and corporate responsibility
▪ Corporate philanthropy and shareholder wealth
▪ Corporate reputation, CEO reputation, and corporate responsibility
▪ CEO leadership in managing the company’s impact on society
▪ The role of the stakeholders in monitoring the company’s wider social,
economic and environmental performance
▪ The role of NGOs and the civil society
▪ Nations’ institutional and cultural effects on corporate responsibility
efforts
▪ Corporate strategy, effective communication, and engagement in the local
community
▪ Metrics, reporting, standard settings, and accountability initiatives of
corporate responsibility
▪ Corporate Social Investment
▪ Corporate governance and corporate responsibility
Please submit a one-page abstract using the online form at
www.submission.cr06-berlin.de by April 30th, 2006. Your abstract must
clearly identify your research question(s) and the actual/proposed
methodology used. You will receive notice by June 30th, 2006 as to whether
your topic has been selected for inclusion in the conference. Authors of
successful submissions will be invited to submit a full paper. Submissions
can be theoretical and/or empirical, including case studies. Completed
papers presented at the Conference will be considered for a special issue
of the Corporate Reputation Review.
