Dear fellow IMD members,
Here is some news on the Membership Involvement Committee (MIC) of our division.
The new mandate of the Division's Membership Involvement Committee is to encourage involvement of all members in the life of the division by providing valuable services to them. In particular, the committee assists the Executive Committee (EC) in identifying and addressing issues regarding member relations and involvement, serves as a liaison between the membership and EC, and fosters communication from and amongst its members.
In order to serve this purpose we have recently set up a LinkedIn Group page for the MIC at http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=2922555. This page is open for all IMD members to join – we hope that it will become a place for lively exchanges of ideas among the members of our division. In particular we'd like to see this page grow into a marketplace for international research and teaching collaboration. Therefore, if you are looking to find research partners in other countries or seeking new teaching opportunities, this should become the place to turn to.
