Apologies for the cross-postings...
Dear IMD Members,
We are writing to enlist your help in following up on the theme of the last annual meeting of the Academy of Management and on last December's Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) "From-the-Editors" column, which held a collection of essays regarding how to make management scholarship more salient to business practitioners and even possibly to policy-makers.
As Associate Editors of AMJ, Debra Shapiro (<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Maryland</st1:placename></st1:place>) and I are writing to enlist your help in filling out a short, 15-minute survey regarding the potential gap between academic management research and management practice.
Your responses will be summarized and reported in a "From-the-Editors" column in the Academy of Management Journal in spring or summer 2007. Of course, individual responses are confidential and anonymous. Only overall results will be reported.
The survey can be reached at the following link:

Note that some of the questions in certain sections repeat, but the instructions for each section should indicate that you are responding to a different issue using similar items.
We hope you will take a few minutes to help us with this important survey that should prove beneficial to both academics and practitioners interested in making management research more applicable to managers.
Thank you in advance for your time!
Brad
