  • 1.  Literature on leadership by groups

    Dear colleagues,

    I am looking for literature on the topic "a group is led by another group", like e.g. in the German model, where the board of directors is led/directed by the supervisory board. As far as I know there is only little literature on this topic, however, maybe one of you have an idea.

    Would some of the upper echelons literature be relevant? The relationship between the board and the top management team could be categorized as one team leading another.

    A colleague is looking for "old fashioned" measures of leadership style - a la theory x theory y, Blake and Mouton - any suggestions as to what would be a good instrument?
