Bartlett's and Ghoshal's "Text, Cases and Readings in Cross-Border
Management", McGraw-Hill, contains mostly cases of large companies and
is quite suitable for an IM course.

Subject: Advice about an International Mgt MBA class textbook
Hello All:
I will be teaching an MBA course in International Management in the
fall, and I'm writing to ask for text/case suggestions. I've taught the
course before, but it's been five or six years, and I had a different
type of student (i.e., more traditional, early twenties) then.
My students will be working students, some in managerial positions, and
I'd like to include a heavy dose of case discussion as part of the
course. Given their backgrounds, suggestions for cases covering large
companies (especially in banking, insurance, healthcare, heavy mfg)
would be most welcome. Any suggestions for texts (either with or
without cases included) that you've had success with at this level would
also be helpful.
Please reply directly to me (
flohrke@cba.ua.edu) and I will compile
responses for the listserv, if anyone is interested.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.
