The Institute for Cross Cultural Management (ICCM) at the Florida Institute of Technology invites poster submissions to be presented during our "Learning and Libations" Networking Event at the 2016 Cross Cultural Management Summit (http://research.fit.edu/iccm/summit/) . The Summit brings together experts from academia, government, and global industry to discuss the cultural challenges facing global organizations and to create real-world solutions. The 2016 Summit will focus on three major topics: (1) Strategy and Culture, (2) Developing Global Leadership, and (3) Cross Cultural Competence through Experiential Learning. Poster submissions will be reviewed on the basis of potential theoretical, empirical, and practical relevance to the three topics, and will be presented in the form of a visual poster only. Posters highlighting evidence-based best practices are encouraged. Please see below for detailed submission guidelines.

o Strategy and Culture: influences of culture on strategies of international business
§ Cultural knowledge and informed decisions
§ Aligning business strategy with cultural and regional norms
§ Culture and succession planning, innovation, and organizational development
o Developing Global Leadership: practices and guidelines for developing supervisors with global leadership
§ Accelerating global leadership development
§ Evaluations of global leadership training and development
§ Evidenced based examinations of mentoring and coaching

o Cross-cultural Competence (3C): ability to adapt to and effectively act in different cultures

Who can submit a poster session proposal?
Anyone (e.g., faculty, graduate students, researchers, business practitioners, policy makers, non-profit workers) interested in sharing their thoughts and experiences on any of the three themes is welcome to submit. Submissions can be theoretical, empirical, and/or practical in nature.
What are the requirements for the proposal submission?
Thought leaders who wish to participate in the "Learning and Libations" poster session at the 2016 Summit should submit a brief description/abstract of the poster concept, content, and evidence (if appropriate). The submission should be a single document with a maximum length of 1,000 words excluding references, tables, and figures. The submission can be any combination of empirical, theoretical, or technical presentation. In addition, reports of cutting edge best practices or international business outcomes are highly encouraged. Submissions should not be identical with work previously presented for other conferences or accepted for publication.
How will accepted posters be formatted?
All accepted submissions will be presented in an interactive poster session. Template for poster layouts will be provided once accepted.
How do I submit my abstract?
All submissions must be made online using the online submission system at http://research.fit.edu/iccm/summit/submission.php. The system will close on November 20, 2015.
What are the procedures for submission review and decision?
Submissions will be blind-reviewed by a panel of experts based on relevance, rigor, and contribution to the summit. Only submissions relevant to the aforementioned themes will be considered. Acceptance and rejection notifications will be provided no later than December 10, 2015.
