    Hi Manikutty,

if you are putting something together, I, too, would be interested in receiving it. It would be highly inspirational for our own students who sometimes take everything for granted.

    All the best,
    Gerhard

    Dear Dr. Romeo,

I have such a story. It is about one student from here (Indian Institute of management, Ahmedabad, considered as the premier management education institution in India and among the top five in Asia), passed out last year, who came from a very poor background, had to pay his way in the school by hawking snacks, survive on a free mid day meal scehe of the governemnt in schools, eventually made it here through what is reputed to be the toughest competitive exam to get into an MBA anywhere in the world. Instead of taking a lucrative corporative job (his family is still vry poor and he has still a loan to pay off), he opted to start a catering unit to provide cheap and nutritious snacks. I can get his staroy (about 10 pagfes?), and though I dont have an video readily, I can arrange for a shooting (how many minutes?).

Would you be interested? I look forward to your "yes" reply!

    Regards,

    Manikutty

    Hi,

I am looking for current stories about students whose business education has had a life altering impact. For example, an impoverished student who struggles to pay for tuition, excels academically and then starts a successful business. There is ample research indicating that stories are an exceptionally effective method to communicate messages. Video enhances the effectiveness of stories because emotions can be transmitted better through video than text. For example, some time ago there was a report on 60 Minutes about a school in Chicago that provides a rigorous academic experience to underprivileged students and has a life altering effect on them. A link to the above mentioned video is on the school's webpage, which is linked below.

If you watched the video, did you have an emotional reaction to it? If so, I hope you agree that business education should have a similar effect on business students. If you have similar videos about business students, would you be able to share them? I am also interested in written stories so if you have some, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,
