Program Description
The I/O psychology program at CSU adheres to the Scientist/Practitioner

of education and training. Students are expected to develop research skills
to
understand human behavior in work settings. Solid training in research
design,
measurement, and statistics is provided. Through its heritage and its
proximity to
the Denver/Boulder metro area and its distance from other top doctoral
programs,
the CSU I/O program provides unique opportunities to blend theory and
practice
in both industrial and organizational psychology. Students are provided
opportunities to gain experience in applied work settings that provide
exposure to
real-world problems and development of professional skills. As a foundation,
students take a series of courses in basic areas of psychology including
social,
personality, and cognitive psychology. Program graduates have excelled in
academic, industry-based, and consulting settings.
