    Dear Colleagues:

You are cordially invited to attend the 2007 Conference of the Eastern
Academy of Management International (EAM-I) Managing in a Global Economy XII
to be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 24 to 28 June 2007.

Co-sponsored by the EAM-I and the Faculties of Social Sciences & Economics
and Business Administration of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the theme of
this year's conference is Culture: Integration & Innovation and is designed
to foster an international exchange of management research among scholars
and practitioners from around the world with both academic sessions and
    corporate site visits.

Amsterdam is an exciting location in which to discuss the challenges of
cultural integration. It is situated in the heart of a Europe challenged by
integration issues, and it has a proud tradition of freedom and openness. At
this point, we anticipate about 150 management professors from around the
world will be in attendance, along with prominent Dutch government officials
and executives from industry. The Amsterdam mayor is hosting a reception
for us at the municipality offices on Sunday evening, we are confirming that
the Prime Minister will be our keynote speaker Monday morning and, among
site visits, we also will be visting the landmark ING corporate
headquarters. The All-Conference Dinner will be held at the Westindisch
Huis, the former headquarters of the West India Company, which founded New
Amsterdam (New York) and controlled Holland’s trade with the Americas in the
    seventeenth century.

We are putting the final touches on our program schedule, will have it
available on the conference website in the coming weeks, and may also be
able to include you in a facilitator role if you are interested in
participating in this very exciting conference.

    CONFERENCE FACILITIES AND HOTELS
This year’s conference will be held in the Trippenhuis, an historic building
located at Kloveniersburgwal 29, in Amsterdam. This unique facility, dating
from 1660, housed The Night Watch, by Rembrandt, from 1817 to 1885. It is
currently headquarters for the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and
Sciences (KNAW). You can get additional information about the facility at
    www.knaw.nl/organisation/history.html. Registration and all academic
sessions will take place at Trippenhuis, and all excursions will depart from
    that location.

Although we know that many people may prefer to make their own hotel
arrangements, we have reserved special conference blocks at four local
hotels, all within walking distance of Trippenhuis. Information on hotel
bookings can be found at <http://eami.aquinex.com/aq/uct/lac.asp>.

    CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Online registration for the conference is now open. For registration
    information, please go to <http://eami.aquinex.com/aq/rct/reg.asp>

I hope you are able to join us for this exciting conference, and I look
