  • 1.  Multimedia resources on India - Three Good Sources

    Charles,

    I would show the first twenty minutes or so of the
    video - Emerging Powers: India, from the Wall Street
    Journal. It shows how (from 1947 to 1991)India was
    headed toward serious economic problems and
    liberalization was the only option.

    I would then follow it up with clips from Tom
    Friedman's interview on Charlie Rose (available from
    Amazon)which talks about India as of 2005. You might
    be able to stream the video directly to your classroom
    pc though the net connections may act up.

    You should also consult the multimedia resources of
    McKinsey Quarterly as they do have many interesting
    flash files that can be shared with an executive
    class. Some of the content is classified premium and
    needs a subscription but you can mine the regular
    content and still come away with lots of good stuff!
