    Dear IMD members,

I would like to draw your attention to the following PDW. Please excuse for cross-posting.

PDW: Implementing CSR Strategy Globally: A Research and Practice Dialogue

    Saturday, Aug 4 2007 8:00AM - 10:00AM at Philadelphia Marriott in Room 404

    Synopsis:
This forum brings together in dialogue a group of people with formal responsibility for CSR in organizations well-known for current best practice, and a group of researchers currently focusing on better understanding the complexities of implementing a "triple bottom line" (financial, environmental, social) strategy globally. To kick off the session, each panelist is asked to give a 5-7 minute synopsis of key features of their approach or key research findings. In the "fishbowl" exercise that follows, panelists are seated in a circle facing each other, and other participants (those who elect to attend the PDW) are seated in a larger concentric circle around the outside of the dialogue circle. The group forming the inner circle are given a question to address, as a kick off for the conversation, and are instructed in the rules for dialogue. Further questions can be provided as the dialogue proceeds, either by the facilitator or through use of one empty chair placed in the inner circle
After an allotted amount of time, the first dialogue session ends and volunteers are selected from the outer group to move to the inner circle to discuss what they heard, their reactions to that and what questions they have now. An open discussion ends the PDW.
