Recent uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa and more specifically in Moslem societies are creating major shifts in the business environment and managerial practices. These radical and/or revolutionary changes have major impacts on local private and public businesses and their management practices as well as the MNEs operating or intending to operate in these countries. The purpose of this PDW is to identify some of the potential organizational and managerial challenges that both local and foreign firms are going to face in the uprising Islamic societies. We intend to develop some common theoretical propositions for future investigation, especially regarding how organizations in these uprising Islamic countries are likely to change, undertake different strategic paths, and engage in innovation and entrepreneurship as a means of catching up with developments elsewhere.
Looking forward to see you at this PDW
Best Regards
